Next Friday, October 21st, Dr. Laura H. Mentore, Asst. Prof. of Anthropology at the University of Mary Washington, will be presenting a discussion of narratives recently recorded by Dr. Mentore involving the guardian spirit known as "the Gold Master," in order to consider how these narratives reflect indigenous economic and ecological philosophies, and how they impact how foreign miners are perceived.
