Last year "Just Mercy" by Bryan Stevenson was selected as the First Year Book for incoming freshmen. The book chronicles Mr. Stevenson's experiences as a young lawyer working to assist victims of our criminal justice system: those who have been wrongly accused, children, People of Color, the poor, and those with disabilities who have been unfairly sentenced to death or life in prison without regard for their circumstances.
