Dr. A. Lynn Bolles and panelists Dr. Bianca C. Williams and Dr. Erica L. Williams will be presenting in the Transforming Anthropology (TA) Live Event “Citing Nothing But Facts in ‘Telling the Story Straight: Black Feminist Intellectual Thought in Anthropology.’”

"Please come join us on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020 at 2:30pm PST/5:30pm EST for a spectacular evening discussion on Black feminism, anthropological praxis, and how Black women anthropologists are leading the movement to center Black women scholars in our classrooms, syllabi, written scholarship, and citations. This extraordinary event will feature one of our Black Anthropology Elders Dr. A. Lynn Bolles. In this article (published in TA in 2013) and throughout her work, Dr. Bolles has advocated and continues to make calls for greater inclusion of Black women anthropologists’ scholarship in the anthropological canon. Additionally, Dr. Bolles discusses the realities of being excluded within the academy and how that has impacted Black women scholars across academia when moving through graduate school, taking first academic position, and getting tenure."
