Congratulations to Intan for her admittance to the UN Fellowship Program.
This is known as Graduate Student Fellowship (GFP), which is under the UNA-NCA (United Nation Association of the National Capital Area) in the DMV area. This fellowship provides graduate students with a unique opportunity to learn about international affairs and global policy. The fellows are able to engage with experts, connect with professionals, receive mentorship, and join events in the UN headquarter in New York. The goal of the fellowship is to support students who are interested in UN based careers. Every year, the program receives more than 130 applications and only accepts between 18-25 applicants. Intan is the first Anthropology student to be admitted in 10 years, and she is one of 2 UMD students that have been accepted.
