Christopher Anderson, Ph.D. is a full professor at the University of Maryland Global Campus-Asia, specializing in Psychology and Anthropology. He earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology in 2002, focusing on decision making and judgment. His academic career includes positions at Tilburg University and Temple University before joining Maryland.
Dr. Anderson has published extensively on topics such as emotional decision making, autobiographical memory, visual perception, and the intersection of emotions and law. Since 2019, he has lived in various Asian countries, including Vietnam, South Korea, and Japan.
His shift towards cultural studies led him to join the Cultural and Heritage Resource Management master's program in Fall 2022. His current research explores Okinawan identity and cultural practices, examining their impact on contemporary well-being.
