Angela Bailey is originally from Port Tobacco, Maryland. She earned her AA at the College of Southern Maryland and her BA in anthropology with a minor in museum studies at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. During her undergraduate studies, Angela concentrated on historic archaeology and focused on colonial era history and African diaspora studies. She recently completed a yearlong internship at the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Lab, during which she worked with the curator of state collections and head archaeologist. A highlight of this internship was working with the public through the MAC Lab’s public archaeology program and archaeology camp. Currently, she is working toward a dual Master’s in Applied Anthropology and Historic Preservation at UMD.
