Emma Collett is a graduate student in the Cultural Heritage and Resource Management program. Ever since she was little she would tell people that she was going to be an archaeologist when she grew up and has been digging in the dirt for as long as she can remember. Her interests in archaeology cover a wide range of topics, but she has always had a passion for mortuary archaeology as well as artifact conservation. Emma got her Bachelor's degree in Anthropology with an Archaeology emphasis from Brigham Young University. While there she attended field school in Petra, Jordan working at a tomb site and on the Ad Deir conservation project. She also assisted at BYU’s Museum of Peoples and Cultures for the “Returning to Bethlehem: A Cultural Pilgrimage” exhibition helping in the curation process from beginning to end. Because of these two experiences, the Middle East continues to be of special interest to her.
