Nina Maria Diaz graduated with a B.A in Anthropology from Texas A&M University, College Station in 2021. She has worked with several CRM firms primarily in the Southwest and Midwest regions, conducting phase I, II, and III projects. Currently, she is an Archeological Crew Chief in the Environmental Department in one of Terracon’s Texas based offices. Her role involves conducting pedestrian surveys, cataloging and cleaning artifacts in a lab for analysis, recording and documenting archaeological sites, and assisting with eligibility testing. She also has experience in Cultural Resources, including performing shovel put tests and field recording, completing field forms and digital photography, and excavating and analyzing changes in soil depositional sequences. Nina Marie’s research focuses on public archeology and curation, specifically how state level archeological collections are managed.
