Jordan Haddad is a graduate student in the Cultural and Heritage Resource Management program at the University of Maryland. Her current research interest is addressing the curation crisis in the Pacific Northwest. She has spent the last seven years working in CRM with a wide range of responsibilities, which include managing archaeological collections, preparing them for curation at various repositories, working on field crews, leading small-scale surveys, collecting and mapping GIS data, and writing as the primary author on survey reports and site forms, including National Register eligibility recommendations. She also handles day-to-day business operations, such as preparing scopes and budgets. She is pursuing her Master’s Degree to continue growing in this dynamic and challenging field. Before entering graduate school, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oregon State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, focusing on Archaeology and Physical Anthropology. She also attended field school at Cooper’s Ferry, a paleo-archaic site in the Lower Salmon River Valley, Idaho.
