Cyndy Hamilton is an archive librarian with a strong background in data management, developed during her earlier career with NASA and refined through her experience in cultural heritage collections. She holds both a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and a BS in Information Management from the University of Maryland. In her current role within a historic archive, she develops outreach programming designed to deliver heritage experiences to individuals unable to visit traditional museum spaces.

Her academic and professional interests include participatory heritage practices, class-based regionalism, and addressing silences within local archives, particularly those affecting transient populations and others. Through the CHRM program, she is focusing on collaborative preservation strategies and the development of inclusive heritage narratives that empower underrepresented voices in regional history. She designs her programs with storytelling, memory, and connection-building in mind, guided by her belief that heritage lives best when it’s shared.
