Janice “Livi” Heebsh is a military brat born in Norfolk, Virginia, who later served in the US Air Force before pursuing her academic interest in Archaeology. She obtained her Associates from Everett Community College, Washington in 2018 and her Bachelors of the Arts in Anthropology from Miami University Oxford OH in 2020. She attended the Irish Archaeological Field School (IAFS) in 2021 working at the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford Ireland uncovering more information about the first Anglo-Norman Castle on the island. Now, Livi is pursuing a Masters of Professional Studies here at UMD in Cultural Heritage and Resource Management to further her professional goals within government service. Her dream jobs would be with the Department of the Interior or the US Army Corps of Engineers, but any well paid, permanent position as an archaeologist or CRM specialist would be ideal. When not at work or school, Livi has a spouse and a wee baby to mind.
Academia-wise, Livi is particularly interested in the following areas:
Landscape Archaeology
Colonization of the Landscape
Sacred landscapes
Spiritual/Religious spaces
Old World Archaeology
Military Culture and Expression
Battlefield Archaeology
