Robert Johnson-Ramirez, a dedicated Cultural and Heritage Resource Management graduate student, is driven by a deep passion for his work. Over the past decade, Robert has amassed a wealth of experience in fieldwork and oversight, working for CRM firms and currently at a state agency. His work in archaeology has been diverse, including large-scale surveys, subsurface studies, and data recovery across California’s central coast. His interests include rock art, lithics, paleoethnobotany, GIS mapping, collaboration, Indigenous Archaeology, and NAGPRA. Originally from the Bay Area of California, Robert pursued his undergraduate studies at Southern Oregon University before completing the Pimu-Catalina Island Archaeological Field School in 2014. Beyond archaeology, he finds joy in family time, art, surfing, and exploration.
