Kevin McDonald is a Masters in Applied Anthropology candidate pursuing both Ecological Anthropology and the graduate certificate in Museum Scholarship and Material culture. He is a graduate assistant at The David C. Driskell Center for the Study of the Visual Arts and Culture of African Americans and the African Diaspora, where he assisted in curating the fall 2017 show, The Last Ten Years: In Focus. In the summer of 2017, he completed the Summer Institute in Museum Anthropology, an NSF-funded program offered through the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. His current research focuses on the intersection of environmental anthropology and museum scholarship, including displays of nature, biocultural collections, the anthropology of art, and more. Kevin graduated with honors from Tufts University in 2012 with degrees in both Archaeology and Dramamatic Scholarship. Before returning to schoo, he worked as a freelance dramaturg, grantwriter, and arts administrator in Chicago.
