Fiona is a second year PhD student working with Dr. Stephen A. Brighton. Her research interests include the historic archaeology of Ireland and the Irish diaspora with a specific focuses on dark tourism and women's experiences.

Before joining the University of Maryland, she earned her Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and International Relations from American University, where she conducted research on the ethical concerns of the long term storage of human remains.
