Ph.D. candidate Casey Hall has been awarded the Chair's Fellowship for fall. Building on the work of her advisor, Dr. Tony Whitehead, Casey has focused her studies on the gendered nature of incarceration and reentry. Her dissertation research is focused on exploring how incarceration and reentry may impact women’s perceptions of their identities as mothers, and how women’s identities as mothers and relationships with their children may shape their reentry experience. The Chair's Fellowship will assist Casey in the final stages of her dissertation research and writing. Congratulations, Casey!
