Dr. Thurka Sangaramoorthy has a new publication out in The Extractive Industries and Society journal titled, "Maryland is not for Shale: Scientific and public anxieties of predicting health impacts of fracking." In this article, Dr. Sangaramoorthy reflects on her experiences as a researcher in the Marcellus Shale Public Health Study and the role of social science in undertaking controversial research topics.
