Drs. Thurka Sangaramoorthy and Joseph B. Richardson Jr. published an op-ed titled, “’Black Lives Matter’ Without Black People?” in Inside Higher Ed. In this piece, Drs. Sangaramoorthy and Richardson discuss how transforming higher education culture requires reckoning with academic social norms that perpetuate anti-Black racism and its reproduction through routine and less overt acts of harm.
