Congratulations to our undergrad student Micah Ferguson on winning the NAPA Student Paper Award for her IRB approved original research, namely "Mental Health Outcomes of Young Black Activists". She will be recognized for her contributions in the area of practicing and applied anthropology by the National Association for the Practice of Anthropology (NAPA) at the upcoming NAPA meeting, and will be featured on the NAPA website and get a 2 year NAPA membership. UMD's department of anthropology will also be recognized for contributing to the field of practicing and applied anthropology.
