The latest paper from the University of Maryland’s Marcellus Shale Public Health Study was recently published in PLoS ONE. It is an assessment of residential noise exposure near natural gas compressor stations related to fracking activities. This is the first study to conduct noise monitoring inside and outside of homes located at varying distances from nearby natural gas compressor stations.
