Anthropology graduate Robi Rawl has been featured in a story by ABC news this month. Robi Rawl graduated from University of Maryland, College Park in 2000 with a B.A. in anthropology and art history and minored in international studies and Spanish language and literature. Rawl later went on to pursue a MSW in Policy, Management and Community Organizing at University of Maryland, School of Social Work.  She is currently the executive director of Sugar Free Kids and she is using both her teaching and Peace Corps volunteer experiences to implement improved nutritional alternatives. “Sugar Free Kids Maryland is pushing for two bills during the 2015 legislative session, one that would remove the 6 percent sales tax from bottled water and another that would prohibit restaurants from automatically including sugary drinks with kids’ meals.” 1
