Alex is an archaeologist in the Master of Applied Anthropology program, and he received his BA in Anthropology from Rutgers University. Prior to entering the program, Alex gained experience in federal archaeology and cultural resources management working for the Bureau of Land Management in Utah and for the National Forest Service in Northern California. Currently, he is the Park Archaeologist at Monocacy National Battlefield with the National Park Service, where he works on the management of cultural resources, archaeological investigations, and public outreach programs.
Alex also assists the National Park Service’s National Capital Region on a variety of archaeological projects, and deploys as a fire archaeologist during wildland fire incidents advising fire incident management on the protection of archaeological sites and cultural resources.
