Dr. Shirley Fiske Announces the Report of the AAA Task Force on Climate Change

Dr. Shirley Fiske, Chair of AAA Task Force on Climate Change, is happy to announce that "Changing the Atmosphere. Anthropology and Climate Change" is now available on the AAA website.

This is the report of the AAA Task Force on Climate Change; it documents the relevance of anthropological work to both the causes and consequences of climate change, gives selected examples of this work and relevant literature, and points to the important work that anthropologists can do on this issue in the future.

The one-page “AAA Statement on Climate Change and Humanity” has been approved. It captures the anthropological concerns and knowledge about the interaction of climate change and humanity—for public audiences and media.
