Olivia Wolford is from Coppell, Texas and graduated with a B.S in environmental studies from Texas A&M in 2018. Prior to coming to UMD, she worked as a research consultant at the Perot Museum of Science and Nature in Dallas, TX and taught English at a public high school in the Araucania region of Chile. She pursued the environment focus area within the MAA degree and is interested in human-wildlife interactions, conservation, multi-species ethnography, and environmental justice. Olivia completed her internship work with the Bird Banding Laboratory at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center in Laurel, MD. Her internship report is: Investigating the Sale, Purchase, and Collection of Federal Metal Bird Bands Among Waterfowl Hunters.
