Bio
Richard McDaniel is an archaeologist with the Alliance for Weedon Island Archaeological Research and Education in Pinellas County, FL. His research focuses on the historical period of Weedon Island, an archaeological site listed on the NRHP for its precontact component. He is also interested in Cuban fishing ranchos of the Florida Gulf Coast. His thesis will investigate a 1920s construction camp associated with the failed residential development of Weedon Island.
