Bio

I served in the Marine Corps and later worked in disaster response with Team Rubicon for several years before moving into the field of archaeology. These experiences allowed me to travel extensively throughout the United States, working at range of different disaster types. My favorite time was working with the BLM doing wildland firefighting in Colorado for a brief period.

My archaeological experience has included work on prehistoric, historic, and military sites across the United States and overseas. I have participated in Phase II and Phase III excavations, metal-detection surveys, laboratory work, and artifact identification. My field experience has included projects at Lake Ralph Hall in Texas, Camden Battlefield in South Carolina, Fort Ticonderoga in New York, and a Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency recovery mission in Sicily. I have developed a particular interest in battlefield archaeology and the study of military artifacts, especially firearms, ammunition, and the spatial patterns created by combat.
