What do UMD Anthropology majors do?
UMD Anthropology majors have the opportunity to work with faculty outside of the classroom in their labs and in their field research projects. They find internships with the large number of government, private sector, and non-profit organizations that proliferate in the greater Washington DC area. They participate in student-led community events such as dog parties, ghost tours and study sessions. Anthropology majors at UMD learn about humans past and present and form valuable skills they can use to find meaningful work in the world.
