Michael P. Betsinger earned his PhD in 2025. He is primarily interested in historical archaeology. His dissertation examined the relationship between transient laborers and liquor businesses known as saloons in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries in Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN.
